The Nebraska Information Technology Commission (NITC) Community Council acts as the state’s advisory group on broadband planning. The Nebraska Information Technology Commission works to make the State of Nebraska's investment in information technology infrastructure more accessible and responsive to the needs of its citizens regardless of location while making government, education, health care and other services more efficient and cost effective.

DED’s emphasis is growing and diversifying the state’s “economic base.” The Department believes that broadband and information technology are the foundation for competing in the global economy and thus, support the utilization of broadband for a variety of efforts ranging from entrepreneurship to business recruitment

AIM Institute

The AIM Institute focuses on awareness and outreach for the Nebraska Broadband Initiative and coordinates the annual Nebraska Broadband Conference.
