Our vision:
Nebraskans are able to effectively use broadband to improve their lives and grow the economy.

NTIA approved Nebraska’s DE Plan on March 29, 2024.

Digital equity is vital for full participation in the digital economy and society. This means that all people can access and use technology to:

  • Find and work a job
  • Renew their driver’s license
  • Enjoy cultural events
  • Organize family get togethers
  • Get an education
  • Talk to a doctor or counselor
  • Read the news
  • Schedule car repairs
  • Keep track of their kids’ grades

Digital Equity Transfers to NBO

In January 2024, responsibility for leading digital equity efforts in Nebraska was moved from the Nebraska Information Technology Commission (NITC) to the Nebraska Broadband Office (NBO). Thank you to NITC staff for all your efforts!

Thank you also to the partners across the state who contributed to development of the Nebraska Digital Equity Plan
